White King Arroz Caldo-O (Chicken Flavoured Porridge Mix) 113g

White King Arroz Caldo brings comforting Filipino porridge to your table

Arroz caldo is the rice porridge every Filipino household turns to on a cold or unwell day, and this mix from White King makes it simple to recreate at home. The blend carries a warm chicken flavour with pieces of ginger running through it, giving that familiar savoury depth without hours of simmering bones and rice from scratch. At 113g, it is a handy single pack for a quick bowl, whether you grew up on arroz caldo or you are discovering it for the first time through our Filipino products range.

How to cook and serve your porridge mix

Simmer the mix with rice and water according to the pack until the rice softens and the porridge thickens to a comforting consistency. Many households finish it with a squeeze of calamansi, a scattering of spring onion, fried garlic and a boiled egg on top, though it is equally satisfying on its own. It pairs naturally with dishes from our soups collection if you want to build a full comfort food spread, or add shredded chicken and a dash from our seasoning and ingredients range for extra depth. It is the sort of dish that comes together in one pot and feels like a proper home cooked meal.
